Series: Fency Russia Pt. 1

'Fency Russia Pt. 1 — Allegories in shape and rhythm' is an autonomous project
captured in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kolomna, Russia in 2016

Philipp Jester travels Russia for some years and points out conventions and practise
of russian life in his photographic exhaminations.

The trees shown in the series are painted with white chalk, calcium carbonate color
to protect the tree from woodboring beetles and to balance the temperature on the surface
of the tree bark to avoid cracks in summer. Another theory sais that trees and other poles
are painted white to keep away cats and dogs from peeing on them.
